哈囉!我是Timo老師,我大學的主修為翻譯,曾當過補習班的英語輔導員(國中英文),由於家裡是托育中心,回家時都會幫忙照顧小朋友,年齡從幾個月大的小朋友到幼兒園孩童都有,所以對於小朋友非常有耐心。
我是個非常外向活潑的人,平常喜歡跟小朋友講故事,會利用浮誇的動作吸引小朋友的注意,遇到一些有動作的英文時,會直接演給小朋友看,而不是單純的講解,讓小朋友下次看到單字時小腦袋瓜可以主動聯想到這個單字的動作,而不是單純的中文意思而已,整個課堂中也不會只是自己在演而已,會讓小朋友可以參與到課堂,讓小朋友對於學習英文的印象不再是枯燥乏味,而是生動有趣。在教大朋友英文時,也不太會讓學生用死記硬背的方式學習,會偏好使用其他的方式來讓學生記住單字,像是利用造句,先自己造一個句子,而學生也造一句,讓學生在記住單字時,也可以知道單字的用法,若學生造不出來也沒關係,可以用改老師句子的方式來造句,文法亦然。因為我認為「教完不等於學會,學會不代表會用!」
Hey guys! I'm Timo. My major is Translation and Interpreting in Wenzao Ursuline University. I was an English counselor in a cram school for junior high school student. I have great patient to children since my home is Family Childcare Services Agency.
I'm an enthusiastic, lively and outgoing person.i like to tell stories to children with dramatic action. If there is an action verb, I would perform it instead of explaining. Therefore, if the child sees the vocabulary next time, his/her mind would not only come up with just the Chinese explanation but also the action. in addition, I would ask my student to participate class activities.I try my best to change people's impression of English learning from dull and boring to lively and interesting.
For teenagers, I don't make them memorize vocabularies or grammar. I prefer another methods to help them understand how to use it. For example, when I teach a new grammar or new words, I will make a sentence first then I ask them to make a new sentence as well. If they could't, they just change some words in my sentence. For me, I consider that students understand doesn't mean they know how to use it.
