“TRUST THE TIMING OF YOUR LIFE”I am Kimberly V. Dadula, graduated at the University of Cebu–Banilad Campus with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. My career as a teacher started while I was still a high school student. Being the only girl and the eldest in my family, it was always my responsibility to maintain my siblings’ social and academic order. At first, I only discussed my knowledge and lessons with my siblings. Later, I also shared them with my cousins, nephews and nieces and before I knew it, more people had already benefited from it. So, growing up, I believe that as you aid someone in creating a better future for themselves, you get infused with a unique form of alchemy.Before I even have my degree from my university. I took a job in my area of expertise–tutoring– because the tingling sensation I was experiencing turned into a magical burst. As my adventure to the teaching world progressed, my eyes were opened to a larger scale. I always take pleasure in sharing my knowledge with others, especially the underprivileged who cannot afford to pay for their own education. And I also want to make a contribution to our society in order to provide a strong basis for it to develop into a better one.I attended numerous seminars and trainings about methods of teaching, strategies and techniques to be used in modern teaching, new approaches and many more. Those seminars and trainings help me improve my skills and enhanced my capacities to become an effective teacher.Being a teacher requires to be active throughout the day, with little opportunity for relaxation. You need to keep busy bees’ minds occupied because aside from personal problems, there can be many struggles in addition to being upright. Comprehending the diverse learning styles of my students has proven to be one of my challenges. Naturally, however, I have managed my classes successfully because I have gained a lot of expertise from my trainings and seminars. I utilize strategies to first determine the points of the students, then evaluate them, and after I have that information, I will implement the lessons that are most relevant to their needs.My goal as a teacher is just simple. I desire my students to learn from me effectively and guide them to whatever path they will choose. Imparting knowledge to students is a challenging one but seeing them grow and improve makes a teacher’s heart sing with satisfaction.
