Hi, my name is Evelyn and you can call me teacher Eve; I am from Malaysia.I have graduated from the local university, University Putra Malaysia. In the year 2014, I completed my degree in Bachelor of Consumer Studies and minor in Finance. After graduating from university, I also further pursued two additional certifications, which are Certified Financial Planner and Diet and Nutrition Consultant.Furthermore, I have 9 years of teaching experience and currently I am a Life Mentor educator. I did conduct many motivational talks, soft skill training, workshops for the institute students, corporate employees as well as the public crowd.Besides, my first teaching experience was in a nonprofit organization school in Thailand. I am an English teacher who teaches underprivileged family children. I still remember a student’s name called Ratree and she was 16 years old at that time. She comes from a very poor family. Ratree is very determined and hardworking student. A few years ago, she has graduated from a university and become an English teacher. Instead, this is one of the reasons that motivates me to persist and continue to be a good educator. I love to read and learn new knowledge that relates more to human psychology, personal development, wellness, as well as languages to share with people. Surprisingly, I was not good at academic studies when I was a kid. I am a slow learner and low self-confidence student, especially speaking English to the crowd. Fortunately, during my high school, I had a group of friends that we always encouraged each other to speak English. Since then, my confidence level has increased when speaking in front of the crowd.Therefore, I realize that one of the best ways to pick up on learning a subject is that we need a good learning environment and be our authentic self. For instance, learning language is not just seeking knowledge, but also a good communication tool for us to express our true feelings to the outside world. Then, you will find that learning a language is very interesting.The students like to join my class because my concept of teaching is lively, has a lot of interaction and encourages experiential learning. Besides, I will also analyze the student’s strengths and weaknesses to provide appropriate advice in order to enhance their learning interest in that subject.Lastly, I always believe that education is able to change a person’s life. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. I hope through this online education platform, I can inspire more people, especially young future leaders, to enhance their quality of life and well-being.
