Hello Everyone! I'm Helen. I am currently studying in the second year of a master's degree in the Institute of English Instruction at National Tsing Hua University. I have three years of English teaching experience since I graduated from the university. During the teaching period, I found that Children’s English is important to develop children’s English ability. In children's English learning, phonics, phonological awareness, word recognition, and practical English are indispensable elements for children. I usually study children’s English storybooks or watch American dramas in my leisure time. Reading is helpful for the development of children's English reading ability. Therefore, I am further interested in the field of Children’s English reading. In my children's reading English course, reading storybooks collocate reading strategies will be used to enhance students' reading comprehension ability. In my teaching world, observing each student’s learning reaction and confirming students whether understand the course content are essential components. Besides, I utilize cogenerative dialogues and guided teaching styles to arouse students' interest in learning English as well as build a joyful learning environment. In addition, I will plan the curriculum according to the student’s level and the objectives, and encourage students to put forward the difficulties they face in their studies and provide solutions. Eventually, I hope my students can enjoy the feeling of being nurtured by English in class and explore the beauty of English with me.
嗨,大家好,我是Helen. 目前就讀國立清華大學碩士英語教學所二年級,在補習班有三年的英語教學經驗。在教學期間發現,兒童美語對於孩子的英文能發展是有重要的影響。在我的英語教學過程中,我會使用自然發音,拼字認讀及音韻覺識來幫助孩子學習,並加入生活實用英語,讓學生能更在日常生活中活用英文。我在空閒時間會研讀兒童讀物和看美劇。透過鑽研兒童英文閱讀,我發現閱讀對於孩子的英文能力發展是有益的,所以,在英語閱讀課程中,會搭配適合的讀物及閱讀策略來提升學生的閱讀理解能力,在教學時,我觀察學生的學習狀況及適時的詢問學生理解與否,此外,我會利用互動式對話和引導式教學方式並製造歡樂的學習氣氛,並因應學生的程度及所需的學習的目標去規劃課程,鼓勵學生可以提出在學習中所面對的困難,給予解決的問題的方案,最後,希望學生享受被英文薰陶的上課過程,和我一起探索英文的美好。
