My name is Bella V. and I am a native English speaker and presently located in South Africa. I am a fully certified English language teacher having obtained an i-to-i 140 hour TEFL certificate in 2015. Additionally, I obtained BA in Psychology at University of Pretoria in 2014 as well as my Honours in Psychology in 2018.

I have been teaching English for 4 years now. I taught a range of age groups in China at various levels of English proficiency from 2015 to 2017. I taught English at kindergartens, primary, secondary and high schools and at Universities. I worked as the Head Foreign Teacher at an English School in Hohhot, where I taught students from all ages, ranging from groups classes to one-on-one private classes. This involved teaching written and oral English ranging from a basic level (primary school) to an advanced level (PETS and Cambridge English). During this period, I also taught adults at Honder College of Inner Mongolia. This focused predominantly on developing oral English skills for students whom were majoring in English and preparing them for the TOEFL, IELTS and TOEIC.

For the last 2 years I have been teaching English in an one-on-one capacity to prepare children for school. I have also been teaching English to children who have disabilities.

My hobbies include hiking, reading and learning new languages. I am an enthusiastic teacher and I love the experience of teaching English to foreign students. I feel it is a very rewarding occupation and it brings me great pleasure seeing my students’ progress with the language. I also believe that everyone is different and as a teacher we should approach learning in such a way that it's fun, interesting and tailored to each individual student.
