This is Angelica. I graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in AB Philosophy.There are many activities to kill our free time; I prefer to spend mine by reading. I especially love sitting back and enjoying mystery novels, Japanese comic books, and philosophy books. I quite disagree when people say reading means we are not socializing because whatever I read I can share it with people who are interested. I often like to immerse myself in foreign cultures through music, TV programs and films so that I can expand my horizon and appreciate the beauty of the world. In addition, I can share what I’ve learned with my students. In my class, I always encourage my students by telling them that the more time you spend with the language, the faster you will learn. Spending enough time on the language makes it easier to incorporate it in one’s everyday life. That is the greatest guarantee of success.When it comes to teaching, I try to conduct high quality classes all the time. I’d like to think I’m flexible so I try to teach in a way that best suits the student’s comprehension. I have taught students from all ages. (Their ages range from 7 to 52.) If the student wants advanced lessons, then I try to oblige them. If the student is a low beginner, I do my best to ask easy questions and make him/her comfortable with talking to me.I place a lot of emphasis on the basics – pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and syntax, because I believe they are the foundation of a language. Through our online courses, you will have a good grasp of English, and you'll find it easier to master it. Your fluency, speed and accent are developed gradually over time. All you need to do is focus on the basics and everything else will fall into place.
