兒童英文故事短篇：蜜蜂與鴿子 The bee and the dove

Beside a river stands a tree where a group of bees built their hive. They stay busy all day, buzzing around flowers and gathering honey. One sunny day, a bee feels thirsty and decides to sip water from the river. While attempting to drink, a strong current sweeps the bee away, and it begins to drown.

Luckily, a pretty dove, observing from a distance, hurries to assist the struggling bee. She plucks a large leaf from a tree and flies over to the bee. Placing the leaf nearby, the bee climbs aboard and dries its wings. After a while, the bee regains strength and flies away to safety.

A few weeks later, the dove finds herself in a perilous situation. Perched on a tree branch, an archer takes aim at her. Desperately searching for an escape, the dove spots a large hawk circling nearby.

In a twist of fate, her earlier act of kindness comes full circle. The bee comes to her aid by delivering a sharp sting to the archer. Startled, the archer releases the arrow, missing the dove and hitting the hawk instead. With the threat neutralized, the dove soars away to safety.
