My name is Kristina. Let me introduce you to my teaching style and my work experience. My teaching style is to teach through a fun and easy way, creating a learning experience, where the learners can interact with the content and their brains. With me, students do not only learn sitting in classes, listening and memorizing prepackaged assignments, and spitting out answers, but they are trained to talk about what they are learning, to write reflectively about it, relate it to past experiences, and apply it to their daily lives. They must make what they learn a part of themselves. One of the most important qualities that we can develop as professionals is the competence in accessing and sharing knowledge. Learning a second language is not only learning new vocabulary words, but also learning new ways to think about things. My vision is to help students develop the ability of critical thinking in the social arena and the ability to apply knowledge and be problem solvers. If they can think outside the box and learn to feel comfortable with their own creativity, then we might have helped our students learn to be their own teachers. For me, being a teacher means giving people the opportunity to improve their lives, learning about different cultures and connecting people from different parts of the world. I choose to create, rather than extract, value. Seeing my students improve, grow and achieving their goals, and being a part of it, is the most amazing feeling ever!
