I have three years of teaching experience, starting with my pre-service teaching which was around January 2019. I taught Grade 9 English at Gordon Heights National High School among 5 sections of at least 200 students in total.

A year after that, I graduated and applied to teach at Olongapo Wesley School Incorporated. I have had the privilege to explore teaching the subjects: Reading and Writing Skills, Oral Communication, Business Ethics and Social Responsibilities, Creative Writing, and Empowerment Technologies in the first year of my teaching there. The following year, I taught roughly the same subjects but there were a few new ones added to my load, among those were: 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World, Creative Non-fiction, and Grade 9 English.

Some of the methods I use to teach my students are anchored on their interests. As an educator, I believe in valuing their preferred learning habits to maximize learning. Each topic would require different approaches which are dependent on the level of competency of my students whether it be rendered difficult or too easy, both essentially balanced to avoid stunting the development of the student's ideas. I mostly use an experiential approach as this is the most effective approach in my experience and as proven in most research.

To know more about me, I was a choir member in my college days. I joined a regional competition as a member and won all of the trophies (3) awarded, and sometime after that, we got to be a semi-finalist for a National Competition against very prestigious choirs in the Philippines.
